Barcode Key Tags
myKeys - Keytracker supports the issuing and return of keys using Barcode Key Tags. Each key or bunch of keys is assigned a unique barcode, which is displayed on the key tag. Users are also issued a unique barcode to enable quick and easy identification and issuing of keys.

Step 1.
Upon entering in the Key Issue screen, the operator is confronted with a screen where they are prompted to enter a Barcode.

Step 2.
When a Barcode is entered (scanned) the system checks to see if it relates to a Key or a User and display the appropriate details. The order in which the Barcodes are initially entered does not matter, in this example a Key Barcode was entered first. In this example, the screen prompt displays a message to enter the User Barcode, as shown below.

Step 3.
When a User Barcode is entered, the system displays their details and prompts the operator to enter a Due Date. When the operator presses Save, the transaction is completed and they are prompted to print a Key Issue Report. The screen returns to its original ‘blank’ status, awaiting input of the next Barcode.

Step 4.
When the operator enters either a Key Barcode or a User Barcode that relates to a Key/User already issued, the details of this transaction are displayed and the key can either be Returned or the Due Date can be amended.
